That Light Project…

Remember that Camera Light project I did back when? (And the actual prototyping, and the concept?) Yeah, I barely do, either.  It was a while back.  (We've had everything from family emergencies, to illness, to pesky day jobs keeping us hopping around here, with no free time.  Yikes!)  I did hear from a couple of people that the light had a serious problem, in that there was absolutely no need for a microcontroller.

Review – Adafruit Powerboost 1000c

So this is an incredibly easy review to write. Adafruit makes some great products, and for anyone who makes things that use batteries, this is one of the best of them. (They do have Basic, and 500c/Basic models as well, for less power) There are dozens of battery charging solutions out there that you can add to your projects, but this product has more features than any other single solution that I've seen.

Video: Review – Head Magnifier

Ah, the head magnifier. Most geeky of headware short of LED-enhanced steampunk iris goggles. (Note to self: get/make LED-enhanced steampunk iris goggles!!!) This is not going to win you a fashion award. On the other hand, it's great at things like reducing eye-strain, and reducing errors from misreading incredibly tiny writing on silk-screened PCBs or chips.
